NEW ELECTRONIC TICKETING SYSTEM IN VALLE D’AOSTA

Local public transport is renewed:
the new electronic ticketing system comes into service.

The new system will be active on every bus of the local public service starting from 18/12/2023 and will allow you to:

  • easly use your tickets and passes from the app, also digitizing your physical card;
  • geolocalize yourself via app and identify the nearest stops and relative lines;
  • plan a trip and easily buy your ticket;
  • have a real-time information of the buses.

With the new #vdatransports App it is possible to manage the wide range of travel tickets made available by the Region, Arriva Italia, SVAP and VITA, taking advantage of both the new physical cards and creating Mobile QR cards (virtual) directly from the App.

  • Purchase of one-way tickets for urban and suburban routes
  • Purchase and recharge of passes
  • Recharge of contactless cards available on physical support (value card)
  • Creation and use of a “virtual” mobile value card, which can also be recharged and used as a pass
  • Recharging management of value cards and passes of third parties (e.g. children)
  • Matching a physical card on your smartphone an using both
  • Consultation USE of physical and virtual cards from smartphones

  

Electronic payment, from App and web portal, will be introduced at the end of a short trial period of the system that will allow users to become familiar with the innovations introduced.

TRAVEL TICKETS PURCHASE

It is possible to purchase tickets:

  • on board, directly from the driver, with cash or small denominations;
  • at the ticket offices of Aosta and Courmayeur and at the offices of the companies SVAP and VITA;
  • recharging your physical card
  • through the new #vdatransports app (downloadable free of charge from Apple Store and GooglePlay), after creating the QR mobile card, or via the web portal;
  • through the authorised resellers network.

THE WAY YOU TRAVEL IS UP TO YOU!

To request a physical card without a facilitated contract (value card with electronic wallet), you can go to one of the designated points for printing the physical card, at a cost of € 5.00:

  • Aosta bus station
  • SVAP Headquarters
  • VITA Headquarters
  • Courmayeur Ticket Office – Agenzia Mont Blanc T.O. Arriva Italia

If there is still credit on the old card, the customer must refer to the contact points with the old card.

In this case, the customer has the possibility to link his rechargeable smart card to the smartphone only to recharge, check the balance and usage details.

With this feature, it is not possible to use the smartphone for validation on vehicles.

 

  • Open directly the app and, after registration, click on the “Buy QR card” button;
  • Confirm the creation of the card with the green button;
  • The card has been created and ready to use.
THE PHYSICAL CARDS AND THE QR CARD ARE CREATED AS A RECHARGEABLE ELECTRONIC WALLET
AND THE CONDITIONS INDICATED WITHIN THE COMPLETED APPLICATION WILL APPLY.

PHYSICAL CARDS AND THE MOBILE QR CAN BE RECHARGED:

AT PHYSICAL POINTS

  • on board the bus by the driver, with small amount of cash, via qrcode available on the App or your Physical Card

 

  • at physical contact points, with POS or cash and with the qr code available on the App or with your Physical Card:
    • Aosta bus station
    • SVAP Headquarters
    • VITA Headquarters
    • Courmayeur Ticket Office – Agenzia Mont Blanc T.O. Arriva Italia

Soon it will be possible to recharge the smart card at the authorized retailers.

        

VIA SMARTPHONE APP AND WEB PORTAL

  • QR Mobile / Card (electronic wallet): by clicking on the Reload button, using the enabled payment instruments (credit card, etc.);
  • QR Mobile / Card (with facility – subscription): by accessing Card Operations from the home page and selecting Tickets, Buy a ticket and purchasing the pre-loaded Subscription type.

Reloading from the web portal with a credit card will also be available shortly: the ticket is associated with your choice of App or Physical Card.

Remember to validate
your ticket correctly

 

You must validate the Physical Cards / QR Cards when you get on and get off the bus.
On the Aosta/Gignod/Aosta urban Line 440, you must validate the pass, the one-way ticket and the Physical Card / QR Card only getting on the bus.
